The legacy of the Cactus Cities Softball League is kept and passed down to future generations of softball players by way of our hall of fame. During 2008, CCSL created the hall of fame to honor the achievements (both on and off the playing field) of members who have had a significant positive impact in our community, who put others above themselves, and help make CCSL the great organization it is today.
The purpose of the local hall of fame is to provide an historical perspective and perpetuate the history of gay softball in Phoenix and pass on the positive values inherent in athletics to future generations. It is a great honor to even be nominated, as is a way for our league to say thank you to all those who are dedicated and serve our community. All members are listed by year and then by alphabetical order according to last name within their respective division. More information regarding the local hall of fame can be found here.

Any ten (10) year member of a NAGAAA or ASANA, whether living or deceased, can be nominated for CCSLs hall of fame, considering a majority of those coming from membership within CCSL. The nominees should have made significant contributions to their league and community. Anyone familiar with a candidate can make nominations for the hall of fame. We strongly recommend that the application include at minimum a photograph of the nominee. The reason for the photograph is that names do not always convey the person nominated, and becomes more important for the case of a deceased nominee. We also prefer that someone not be self-nominated.
All nominees should be able to show a commitment to personal achievement both on and off the field. During the time they were alive (if deceased), they should be able to demonstrate they actively participated in gay/lesbian softball actives, primarily through participating in Cactus Cities Softball League (CCSL). The nominee should show a commitment to supporting/encouraging others in sports and the GLBTQ sporting community at large.

The candidates who receive at least two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast are inducted into the local hall of fame at our annual awards ceremony usually held in the summer months.
