CCSL Invites Players and Teams to “Swing Into Fall” at Nu Towne Saloon

PHOENIX — The Cactus Cities Softball League is kicking off its 2026 Free* Fall Season with Swing Into Fall, a new-player sign-up and team social designed to welcome prospective players, reconnect returning members, and help teams build their rosters for the upcoming season.

The event will take place Saturday, August 1, from 4–7 p.m. at Nu Towne Saloon in Phoenix.

Swing Into Fall offers a relaxed and welcoming opportunity for anyone interested in joining CCSL to learn more about the league, meet coaches and current players, and connect with teams seeking new talent. Players of all experience levels are encouraged to attend, whether they are seasoned competitors, returning to softball after time away, or stepping onto the field for the first time.

“This event is about making that first connection,” said Jason Blake, CCSL Outreach Director. “Joining a new league can feel intimidating, so we wanted to create a fun, social environment where people can meet the community, talk with teams, and see what CCSL is all about before the season begins.”

Coaches and established teams will also be on hand to recruit players, strengthen their rosters, and welcome new members into the league. Teams are encouraged to bring their players and help introduce prospective participants to the inclusive, competitive, and community-driven atmosphere that has made CCSL one of Arizona’s leading LGBTQ+ and allied sports organizations.

Swing Into Fall is the first of two major player-recruitment events planned ahead of the Fall Season. CCSL will also host Skills Day on Sunday, September 13, from 10 a.m. to noon at Cesar Chavez Park. Skills Day gives interested players an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities on the field and connect with coaches looking to complete their rosters.

The 2026 CCSL Fall Season is scheduled to begin Sunday, September 27.

There is no requirement to already be part of a team to attend Swing Into Fall. Interested players can arrive individually, meet league representatives, and receive assistance finding a team and division that best matches their experience and goals.

Whether attendees come ready to play, recruit, reconnect, or simply learn more, Swing Into Fall promises an afternoon of softball community, new friendships, and excitement for the season ahead.
